Brian joined the team in June of 2023 after retiring from South Carolina State Fire. He spent 21 years working for Horry County Fire Rescue where he served on ambulances, fire engines and was the Captain of Rescue 3. Brian is a Hazardous Materials Technician with Clandestine Drug Lab Specialist and has ratings in Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue and High-level Rescue. During his time with SC Office of State Fire Marshal he became an ICC Certified Fire Marshal and served as a supervisor in both Code Enforcement and in Community Risk Reduction. He also has extensive experience in emergency management having served on Type 1 incidents as a Resources Unit Leader and Deputy Planning Section Chief. Since joining the CC&I Services Team, his ambition has continued, and he has become a Certified Building Official; adding to his already impressive resume.
